Role: Audio Recordist/Production Mixer

Due to a growing audience of Country Music lovers in the UK and Canada, I traveled with Vintage TV to Nashville, Tennessee in order to film at the 51st Country Music Awards, held at the Bridgestone Arena.

It was my role to cover audio recording duties during the week there, which ranged from short pieces to camera on the red carpet to several band members in an hour long interview with resident presenter, Alan Cross. Guests that were interviewed ranged from the infamous super-group that is the Frontmen of Country through to legendary producer, Chris Lord-Alge.

It really was an educational week learning plenty about the alchemy of Country Music from some of the greats and, having never been to that part of America, it was an especially eye-opening time to visit Nashville – truly ‘Music City’.
